What do the Japanese think of wearing sungles?

I am Asian, yet I always wear sungles whenever the sun is out because I can barely open my eyes when it is so bright. I noticed that the Japanese people do not wear sungles even though the sun is bright. Is there a bad connotation with sungles there? Do they look bad at me for wearing sungles?
