Anyone having problems connecting to the nintendo wifi on wii?

For the past two days, I have been unable to connect to the nintendo wifi for mario kart wii. i looked up the error codes and they all came up with the same thing (61010). i did the trouble shooting tips and alas - still no wifi mario kart. everything else that involves an internet connectivity works fine (wii shop, mii channel). Anyone else having this problem?
