Can i drink achohol while have treatment for ear infection?

i have been to the doctors today and was informed that i have a ear infection and was given ear drops to put in twice a day. im due to attend my works christmas party this evening as was wondering if anyone knows if you can drink while on this medication?? i have read the leaflet with it and it does not say anything about drinking on it but just wanted to check
