You really should wait. If you want a star tattoo on your body for life then go for it. I got my first tattoo at 18. You can get one at 16 but most GOOD tattoo artists will not want to tattoo you. This is because you're still growing, etc. It really depends on the tattoo artist and how small the star is. There's usually a price minimum in most places, check that out as well.
