How many times a day should a 3mo fed baby eat?

Lately my daughter has decided that she is only going to eat 6 or 7 times a day, is this normal? Based on the bottles of milk she receives during the day she eats approximately 3.5 -6 oz at a time. (note: I am not back at work yet, we are practicing for when I go back, dad gives the bottles) She is already sleeping through most of the night with a stretch from approximately 7pm - 3am between feedings. She used to then eat every 1.5 hours during the day but now goes anywhere from 1.5 to 5.5 hours. For the past few days she has skipped a usual feeding time around 3pm and instead goes from 1pm to 5:30 or 6pm then eats and goes to bed for the night. It seems odd that she would eat frequently in the day (about every 2 hours) and then have such a long stretch before her last bedtime feeding. If I try to feed her during this stretch - she protests, cries and screams at me. Is this new schedule okay? I know she is eating enough because the poopy and wet diapers are a plenty.
