I need pointers and tips on bleaching my roots and not have some orange catastrophe and my hands, please help.

Alright so my hair is almost platinum blonde. I've done my roots before, say like four times. I've never had it turn orange but im doing my roots tomorow night and if anyone can give me tips? I use 40 volume creme and mix it with "prism lites blue tonal lightener". And suggestions? Anything is helpful. Thanks :]
