Somewhat intense metal music suggestions?

I'm looking for intense metal bands, that have good rifts that have a nice beginning that builds up into the rest of the song, and have good lyrics (not screamo). Thanks. Good example of this is Maximize the Hormone. Though I'd prefer this one to be english, I don't really care.
