Why, oh why, do they secure toys in packages that way?

Come on! How many rubber bands, staples, pieces of tape, and stitches (actual sewn stitches) do they think is necessary to package my kid's toy? It takes half an hour just to free the thing. It requires scissors, utility knife, and screwdrivers sometimes. I'm just so disgusted with the whole thing. Throw the stupid thing on the floor and jump on it!!!
